What will the coming autumn look like? Should Belarusians expect new weather anomalies in September and when the usual cool and rainy Belarusian autumn comes to the country? Forecasters announced their forecasts.
Thus, the authors of the weather telegram channel “Nadvor’e”, referring to the CFSv2 numerical forecast model, stated that dry and warm weather awaits Belarusians this autumn, on average 2 ° above the climatic norm.
According to the calculations of the same CFSv model, in September in Belarus it will also be warmer than usual – on average 1.5–2.0° higher than long-term values.
But the rains, judging by the calculation model, in September will be within the normal range. Slightly more precipitation, according to preliminary forecasts, will fall in the southwestern and northeastern regions of the country.
“On the maps you see the old climate norms. The current ones are a little warmer,” the authors of the channel specified, noting that the current norms for Belarus are about 0.6 ° higher than shown on the maps.
Forecasters from Belhydromet, as a rule, do not voice such long-term forecasts, but the specialists of the weather site Wisemeteo have already announced their preliminary forecasts for the fall.
According to them, the weather this fall will be generally “stable and cold”, there will be a certain deficit of precipitation – in total, Belarusians were promised about 16 rainy days per season, and most of them will fall in October.
The average temperature in Minsk in the autumn season was predicted by the portal’s forecasters to be 2°C lower than last year and promised that autumn, typical for Belarus, would begin on September 7. In general, the portal’s weather forecasters called September a “typical autumn month”, October a cold month when “the temperature trend goes down”, and November – “quite stable” and, judging by the small number of rainy days, quite dry.
