The New Event feature which is part of the Announcement Group can make it easier for groups and communities to organize schedules or appointments for both virtual and in-person meetings.
“Through the Events feature, it is now easier to plan meetings directly on WhatsApp, whether it’s preparing a virtual meeting or a birthday dinner,” wrote Meta in his statement, Thursday.
Since the launch of the WhatsApp Community feature, many have used this community feature to keep their groups connected and organized.
Therefore, it is hoped that the New Event feature will make it easier for the community to introduce organized replies in Announcement Groups.
“To help bring the community closer together, we added a new way for people to organize events on WhatsApp, and we introduced organized replies in Announcement Groups so members can respond to important updates from admins,” wrote Meta.
The New Events feature allows group members to organize agendas for birthday parties, work meetings, and more.
This is similar to various e-vite services which are usually sent via email invitation.
