WhatsApp announced that users can pin up to three messages in both individual and group chats.
In fact, the feature for pinning messages or “Pin Message” has been on WhatsApp since December 2023.
However, at that time the application only gave users the ability to pin just one message in one chat.
The embedded messages can be in the form of text, images or polls to make it easier to poll groups.
To pin a message, the user must long press the message, select “Embed” or “Pin” from the menu, and select the duration.
Messages will be pinned for seven days automatically, but users can also pin them for different durations, namely for 24 hours or 30 days.
After this time period, the pinned message will be automatically removed if it is not removed manually by the user.
