WhatsApp, the world’s most popular messaging app, is releasing some exciting new features to users. The new features will improve the user experience, especially for all group members. According to WABetaInfo, a total of 7 new features have been announced in the beta version of the app for both Android and iOS. These features will also be accessible to desktop users.
The last major update to the app was the feature that allowed users to delete messages for anyone up to two days old. The wipe for everyone feature was launched in 2018 with a 7 minute time limit. Later, this time limit was increased to 1 hour 8 minutes 16 seconds. Now you can delete for everyone feature is also available for messages that are 2 days old.

The first feature added is making it harder than ever to leave a group: according to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will notify users of the list of people who have left or been removed from the group within the last 60 days. Not only administrators, every member of the group will have access to the list of past participants. There will also be a separate list to help you identify banned users.
Now you can leave without any notification: your name may appear in the list of past participants, which users should deliberately check. The app also gives a slight relief to those who want to leave quietly. The updated version of the app will allow you to leave the group without anyone else in the group being notified. Only administrators will receive this information.
Another feature is comments on status updates: just like many other features, WhatsApp copied and pasted one more feature of Instagram. Just like you can comment on Instagram stories, WhatsApp will also allow you to comment on status updates. So, be prepared for all the reactions from all the unwanted contacts. Eight response emojis are available so far: 100 points, party popper, clapping hands, folded hands, smiling face with heart eyes, laughing with tears, face with open mouth and crying face.
Security will also be better: WhatsApp is improving its security feature with login credentials. This update will notify users every time a new login attempt is made along with the device details. The feature called login confirmation is under development and may be released soon.
New menu: now you see an option to attach contacts, photos or other things to the chat. The new context menu may offer much more. This will allow you to change the text to bold and italic. Also, the spell check feature is a big plus.
More privacy: you are often added to those unwanted groups and your mobile number becomes accessible to everyone. Now, the updated version will allow users to choose who can see their phone number. You may get an option to allow only your saved contacts to see your phone number in the group. Your name may appear by default. The launch date of this feature is not yet known.
Storage management is also improved. The last feature will allow you to manage your WhatsApp storage by fetching an old storage section from another starting point. The feature will allow you to delete unwanted media messages and selective section messages.
