The film team has officially announced the release date of ‘Pathu Thala’ starring Simbu.
‘Pathu Thala’ is a remake of the 2017 Kannada super hit ‘Mufdi’ starring Sivarajkumar and Sri Murali. This film is directed by Krishna, the director of the films ‘Chillunu Oru Kadhal’ and ‘Nedunchalai’. Batu Thala stars Simbu along with Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead roles. AR Rahman has composed the music for this film.
While the glimpses of the film released on the occasion of Simbu’s birthday have been well received, it was earlier announced that the film will release on December 14. But in between, actor Simbu was in America for a few days due to his father’s ill health, so the shooting was halted. And due to some reasons, the final phase of the film was delayed. Due to this, the release date of the film has been postponed.
While the shooting of the film was going on in locations like Kanyakumari, Bellary, Visakhapatnam, the final shoot was completed at VGP Golden Beach, Chennai last month. In this case, it has been officially announced that Simbu’s film ‘Pathu Thala’ is going to be released on March 30 next year.
While it was originally slated to release in February, Dhanush’s ‘Vaathi’ including several films were slated to release in that month, so there was a problem in getting theatres. Subsequently, it was recently reported that this film is going to be released in the last week of March. In this case, now the film team has announced the new release date. According to this, the film is slated to hit the screens on March 20, 2023.
