The 26-year-old man, nephew of Michael Jackson, was chosen by director Antoine Fuqua to play the King of Pop in a biopic dedicated to him, called Michael. “It was clear that he is the only person who could take on this role,” said the film’s producer, Graham King, in a press release relayed by Reuters, adding that he “can’t wait for the world to see him on big screen as Michael Jackson”.
Jaafar Jackson was born on July 25, 1996. He is the youngest son of Jermaine Jackson, older brother of Michael Jackson, also a singer and producer, and Alejandra Oiaza, a Colombian businesswoman who had two children with another brother of Michael Jackson, Randy. Jaafar Jackson started music and dance at a very young age, at the age of 12. In 2019, he released his very first (and only to date) single, called Got Me Singing.

It’s so wonderful to see him carry on the Jackson legacy of artists and performers,” said Katherine Jackson, mother of Michael Jackson, in the same press release. “I remain humbled and honored to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life.
