Hygiene ritual with obstacles!

For the New Year, RTL is opening its wallet particularly wide: in the 3 million euro week of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”, the candidates are playing for the grand finale next Friday. Whoever gets to sit on the council chair again has a chance of winning three million.

Ramona Hamacher from Inden also speculated on this on New Year’s Eve and had a hairy hygiene talk with presenter Günther Jauch (67).

The debt advisor could certainly handle a million-dollar win particularly carefully, but she gets into trouble when it comes to the 2,000-euro question.

Günther Jauch wants to know from her: “What did Helen Barnett Diserens develop at the end of the 1940s, supposedly inspired by the ballpoint pen she had just invented?” The possible answers: A: deodorant roller, B: padlock, C: bottle cap and D: leaf blower.

After a lot of pondering and a joke from the audience, she decides on answer A: “Now it makes sense. With the liquid that gives off. The mechanics are similar.”

Jauch’s curiosity has now been piqued – he is more interested in his candidate’s hygiene preferences: “Do you use deodorant? Which technique do you prefer?”

This week the 3 million euro week is running on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” Günther Jauch is having a lot of fun with his candidates. Will anyone manage to pocket the 3 million?

When Hamacher explains how to use the spray technique, the presenter suddenly opens up and gives an insight into his daily routine: “There are two types of deodorant rollers. One is the real roller, where a liquid comes out. The hair always gets caught in between.”

The audience laughs – but Jauch seems to have learned from the hairy experience and explains his switch to a different product: “Then there is the wax roller. I have that.” He now shows with gestures how he smears his deodorant exactly under his armpits and explains: “You can also change the dose… You do it like this, or you do it once and that’s enough.”

The candidate grins at the exact explanation and comments: “I find out things about you…”

However, Jauch is far from finished with his deodorant lecture and blames Hamacher for the environmentally damaging variant of spraying: “The world is ending for you because of it. Greenhouse gases!”

Jauch can be funny, but can also lovingly reprimand his quiz candidates. His WWM shows are always a real surprise for his guests and fans

Before WWM candidate Hamacher has to justify herself, a comment from his editorial team appears on the quiz moderator’s screen.

Jauch: “I get a great hint here: ‘You could shave the hair away.'” The candidate can only agree with this: “I didn’t mean to have said it.”

The answer “roller deodorant” was of course correct. In the end, winning 16,000 euros was enough to get into the final show on Friday.
