One of the three major rating agencies on the market has just delivered its verdict. S&P Global Ratings (formerly Standard & Poor’s) maintains France’s financial rating at “AA” level. Enough, in the short term at least, to reassure the markets about the country’s capacity to implement its budgetary objectives, particularly concerning the reduction of the deficit.
