Chennai: Minister KN Nehru said that steps will be taken in consultation with the Chief Minister to upgrade Pudukottai to a municipal corporation.
During today’s (Jan. 13) Question Time in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly session, legislator Y. Muthuraja questioned whether the government will take steps to upgrade the Pudukottai municipality to a municipal corporation.
Responding to this, Minister K.N. Nehru said, “In consultation with the Chief Minister to upgrade Pudukottai to a municipal corporation, action will be taken after the tenure of the current local body representatives ends.”
The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly session started on the 9th (Jan 9) with the Governor’s speech. The conference ends today. In this case, Minister KN Nehru answered the question regarding Pudukottai in the meeting held today.
