WINMED Reports Strong Financial Results for the 2nd Quarter of 2023
Bangkok, Thailand – Winnergy Medical Public Company Limited (WINMED) has recently released its financial results for the 2nd quarter ended June 30, 2023. The company, which is a leading importer and distributor of medical machines and equipment for collection, analysis, diagnosis, and treatment, announced a total income of 160.85 million baht and a net profit of 4.65 million baht for the quarter. Additionally, the company reported a total income of 299.81 million baht and a net profit of 10.81 million baht for the first half of 2023.
According to Mr. Nantiya Darakanon, the CEO of WINMED, the company’s strong financial performance can be attributed to several factors. He highlighted the resumption of economic and social activities after the resolution of the COVID-19 epidemic, which led to an increase in the demand for the company’s products. Particularly, the reproductive health care and cervical cancer screening product groups experienced significant growth, supported by the National Health Security Office (NHSO) project.
The revenue structure of WINMED’s product groups also saw notable improvements. The Blood Banking and Blood Safety Products group recorded a revenue of 88.28 million baht in the 2nd quarter of 2023, marking a 54.28% increase compared to the same period last year. The reproductive care products group saw a 10.92% increase, with an income of 48.47 million baht in the same quarter. The cellular and molecular technology products group performed exceptionally well, with an income of 16.28 million baht, representing a 62.31% increase year-on-year.
Mr. Darakanon emphasized that these positive results signify the company’s recovery and growth trajectory following the resolution of the COVID-19 situation. He also revealed that WINMED plans to further expand its product groups and increase the number of mobile blood donation units to 10 by the end of the year. The company aims to strengthen its position in the medical field and achieve a 30% growth in revenue, setting a new record for the year.
In addition to its expansion plans, WINMED has adjusted its business strategy to generate more growth. The company’s collaboration with the NHSO in cervical cancer screening has significantly boosted the number of people utilizing these services, ultimately driving sales and revenue.
