With a car full of cigarettes from Paraguay, the smuggler fled the PRF (Federal Highway Police) along BR-463, in the Ponta Porã region, and ended up crashing into a tree on Friday night (1st). The suspect was injured and needed to be rescued.

According to information from the Ponta Porã News website, the suspect was approached at the Capey checkpoint, but did not obey and fled at high speed in the Audi vehicle. He went the wrong way on the road and the chase lasted 40 kilometers.

When he reached the Dourados section, the driver lost control of the Audi and collided with a tree. Even though he was injured, the smuggler refused to get out of the vehicle, but was eventually removed by the police. He was rescued and is in Dourados hospital, under police escort.

The car was full of smuggled cigarettes, but the quantity was not reported by the PRF.
