The MIS (Museum of Image and Sound), in partnership with the French Alliance of Campo Grande, screens the film ‘Allons Enfants’ on Friday (14th), from 7 pm. Entry is free. The screening marks the resumption of CineMIS (French Film Festival), which began in 2011.

Curated by Márcia Saddi, CineMis was created for academics, film buffs and the general public. The sessions feature debates by specialists, researchers and scholars.

Regarding the project, the MIS coordinator, Alexandre Sogabe says that the film does justice to the resumption. “CineMIS has already become an action on our museum’s calendar and the return edition presents an award-winning, contemporary and very special film that deals with themes and issues linked to the aforementioned commemorative date, but which remain current and urgent”, he says.

About the movie – In the center of the capital, a school tries a crazy bet: to integrate students from popular neighborhoods and break the spiral of school failure thanks to hip-hop dance. “Allons enfants” is the story of this unique experience in France.

The MIS is located at Avenida Fernando Corrêa da Costa, 550, Vila Carvalho.
