Microsoft has announced that many old Windows features and software, including WordPad, will be retired in 2023, but it is not clear from which version of the Windows operating system the 30-year-old word processor will be removed.

According to the new report, WordPad will be removed from Windows 11 24H2 and Windows Server 2025. WordPad will be removed from all versions of Windows starting with Windows 11, version 24H2, and Windows Server 2025. Let us tell you that WordPad was first released in 1995 and since then it has been present in every version of Windows operating system as the basic word-processing software.
