World powers under siege; Russia ahead
Castellum.AI, a global sanction tracking database company, has released a list of the most censored countries in the world.
The list, which includes figures for sanctions, was released on Tuesday.
According to the list, Russia has the highest number of sanctions. Following the occupation of Ukraine, the number of sanctions imposed on Russia by the United States and various European allies increased sharply.
As of February 22, there were 2,754 sanctions against Russia.
But as Russia intensified its attacks, 2,778 new sanctions were imposed on Russia. With this, there are currently 5,532 sanctions against Russia.
Iran, a West Asian country, has the second highest number of sanctions after Russia. There are 3,616 sanctions on Iran.

There are 651 sanctions against the South American country of Venezuela. These are sanctions imposed by the United States since 2017.

The US and other countries have imposed sanctions on Myanmar over military coups and human rights abuses. According to Castellum.AI, there are 510 sanctions against Myanmar.
Cuba is seventh and last on the list with 208 sanctions. Cuba has been under US siege for more than 60 years.
