Xiaomi announced Redmi 12C at an attractive price

by time news

Apart from the Redmi K60 series and a host of other products, Xiaomi managed to announce just before the end of the year another new and perhaps its cheapest model: Redmi 12C which will be offered at a starting price of only about 100 dollars.

As expected, this is not a device with very advanced specifications, but one that offers some improved features that can certainly satisfy the young age range. So it comes with a 6.71-inch HD+ resolution screen with a drop-shaped hole at the top that houses a 5-megapixel camera. It is designed similarly to the models of the series, only that its back, made of plastic, has a rough texture as well as a certain immunity to water splashes, although no exact details about this have been given.

At the back, the photography setup includes a pair of lenses, one of which is a 50 megapixel sensor and the other is apparently for depth shots. Adjacent to them is also a fingerprint sensor while inside the battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh with support for normal charging (10W). There is also support for generation 4, WiFi connectivity and connection to headphones.

Redmi 12C is based on MediaTek’s Helio G85 chipset with 4 or 6 GB of LPDDR4X working memory and 64 or 128 GB of storage depending on the model purchased. The weight of the device is 192 grams and its thickness is 8.77 mm.

Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi 12C for sale in China at a price equal to the value of about NIS 350, while the models with a larger volume will cost up to about 130 dollars, which is about NIS 460.
