In Xutos & Pontapés’ extensive discography we find recordings that contributed to the construction of one of the most important legacies in the history of Portuguese electric music. The album ?Circo de Feras?, released in the first months of 1987, belongs to this group. To mark the 35th anniversary of the edition, Xutos & Pontapés produced a series of shows with songs from the album and some that preceded it. They invited guitarist Tó Trips to accompany them and challenged radio host Henrique Amaro to create the image of the concert. Director Zé Pinheiro and video scenography by João Pombeiro arrived with them. This is how the concert film “Circus of Beasts” was born. In November 2022, the first live performances were filmed at the Tivoli BBVA Theater, period photographs signed by Ãlvaro Rosendo, Pedro Lopes and Rui Vasco were chosen, the file drawers were untidy and opened. the microphone was given to the musicians so that they could remember what their memory could not erase.
