Hamas Leader Yahya Sinwar Breaks Silence, Boasts of Heavy Losses Suffered by Israeli Forces

In a rare communication since the beginning of the war, Hamas leader Yahya Sanwar has sent a letter to the head and members of the political bureau of Hamas, boasting of the heavy losses suffered by the Israeli forces and the success of the al-Qassam Brigades in the ongoing conflict.

In the letter, Sinwar stated that the al-Qassam Brigades are waging a fierce, violent, and unprecedented battle against the Israeli occupation forces. He claimed that the occupation army is suffering heavy losses in both life and equipment. Sinwar went on to claim that during the ground war, the al-Qassam brigades attacked at least 5,000 soldiers and officers, resulting in significant casualties. He stated that one third of them were killed, another third were seriously wounded, and the last third were permanently disabled. Additionally, Sinwar claimed that 750 military vehicles were destroyed, either completely or partially, by the al-Qassam brigades.

Furthermore, Sinwar stated that the al-Qassam brigades are on the way to crushing the occupation army and will not submit to the conditions of the occupation.

This communication from Sinwar comes after weeks of fighting and an October 7 attack that has seen ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israeli forces. The letter is a clear display of the confidence and determination of Hamas in the current conflict, as well as a warning to the Israeli forces of the strength and resolve of the al-Qassam Brigades.
