Expanding cultural Reach Through Strategic Partnership
Since 2023, U-NEXT has fostered a strong partnership with Tohoku Cable Television Network under the banner of “PLAY, NEW TOHOKU.” This initiative aims to amplify the cultural and economic vibrancy of the Tohoku region. According to a company release,the collaboration has already yielded significant results,including partnerships with 17 member companies of Tohoku Cable Television Network,engagement with the Yamagata International movie Festival,and integrated point programs at the MOVIE ON yamagata cinema. U-NEXT has also been actively producing and distributing films, and has previously exclusively broadcast concerts by the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, extending the reach of Tohoku and yamagata’s artistic talent across japan.
A Family-focused performance
The upcoming “orchestra Day 2026” concert represents a natural extension of thes ongoing efforts. The event, scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 29, 2026, will be held at Yamagin Kenmin Hall. The performance will be led by conductor Taizo takemoto, and will feature guest appearances by singer-songwriter Win Morisaki and vocalist Shoko Haida, alongside the popular characters Tabeko Animals.
Tickets will go on sale starting Monday, December 15th. Pricing is tiered to accommodate a range of budgets, with options for both general admission and students:
