The Colombian Yaser Asprilla is once again having a leading role in Watford and after his wonderful goal against Norwich, the young attacker ended up being the great figure of his team, despite the 4-2 defeat.
His goal meant the partial 2-2 and in the end, he was left wanting to celebrate completely after the negative result.
However, Watford coach Valérien Ismael made clear in a press conference the value of Asprilla’s goal and set it as an example for the rest of his players, since the Colombian’s attitude was a relief for the team, but in the end They were left with that bitter defeat.
“When you make substitutions you expect the players to contribute something to the team. A substitute like Yaser Asprilla paid off, he scored an incredible goal tonight, so you have to give him credit. The two positive things, a fantastic goal and we came back from 2-0 down. But it is only consistency that does not prevent us from finishing strong,” Valerien was self-critical.
Likewise, the coach emphasized that after Yaser’s goal, the team left Norwich out of focus, but the errors made the difference.
“We got back into the game. Norwich were completely out of the game. Out of nowhere came a lucky third goal for them. But the fourth goal for us was really painful,” concluded the Watford coach.
For now, Yaser Asprilla will remain focused on continuing to contribute his talent to Watford and hopes that his teammates will do their part to overcome the three consecutive defeats they have accumulated in England’s second division.
