This is the story of Alan Vikrant’s movie Mohi.
It was a group of friends who lifted Alan in a wheelchair to the dream of ‘Grura’. Even when he repeats it, Alan is a hundred-tongued. Alan couldn’t even tell if it wasn’t for them. Because this friendship is everything to Alan. Alan wasn’t like this when he went to study film, and it was an accident that derailed the young man eager to reach his dream. An unexpected guest is a car accident that leaves Alan bedridden. But he did not feel defeated. He started working on his film in that bed as well. Even fate bows down in shame in front of this Kannur man who rushes forward with confidence.
It is now a three month wait for ‘Grura’ to hit the theaters. While saying that it is a fantasy film and avoiding the question of what is the reason for this name, it is clear that Allen has hidden some curiosities in this film. This is a land of filmmakers and cinephiles who can’t find anyone to make a film even if they are in perfect health and have a good story. But even there Allen is different. Allan was driven forward by a strong determination and confidence to prove what he could do. With Katta’s friends and family standing by him, the filmmaker in Alan gained the courage to overcome any crisis like a flower.
Allan’s friends worked from the front and back of the film. The film is produced by his brother. When asked if there was anything special about any of them, Alan replied that they all ‘carried’ me. The film is being made in 7 languages including Malayalam. Sandy Zero, Albi Augusti and Josu are playing the lead characters.
Clint Sebastian is producing the film under Rainbow Universal Studios banner. Co-produced by Joby Jose. Cinematography is done by Alan Vikrant, Bibin Joy, Richumon Joseph and Harikrishnan B. The editor of the film is Daniel Pakalomatam, an associate of Antony, the editor of Tamil films Enthiran, 2.0, Ghajini and Enni.
Alan is more interested in Tamil movies. My biggest wish is to do a film with Vijay. Allan says ‘Glura’ is the first step towards that. Alan does not give up the firm confidence that he will come back to full health after he has come so far from where he was exhausted.
