You murdered and also inherited? The person accused of stealing Lady Gaga’s dogs is suing

by time news

A woman accused of stealing the singer and songwriter’s French bulldogs Lady Gaga, is now suing the pop star for not giving her the promised $500,000 prize, TMZ reported. According to reports, Jennifer McBride claims Gaga made it clear she would pay the large sum “no questions asked” if her dogs were returned unharmed.

The singer announced the award in February 2021 after her purebred puppies, Koji and Gustav, were stolen at gunpoint from someone walking her dogs. According to TMZ, McBride claims she returned the dogs to Gaga at the Los Angeles Police Department Community Station on February 26, 2021 — just two days after they were taken.

McBride was later charged in connection with theft by receiving stolen property and being an accessory to a crime. She allegedly dated the father of one of the men responsible for attacking Gaga’s dogs, Ryan Fisher. In the end, McBride pleaded no contest to one count of receiving stolen property and received two years of probation. Now McBride wants more than the promised amount. She is suing Gaga for $1.5 million in damages for the allegedly misleading prize announcement.
