A young health worker from the town of Potrerillo, in the municipality of Cruces, province of Cienfuegos, died in the last few hours in the United States, a country to which he had recently arrived, according to information that emerged on social networks.
The Rehabilitation specialist goes by the name of Amaury Sánchez, and his family and friends regretted his departure, ensuring that the Cruces and Potrerillo rehabilitation room is in mourning.
Primary information reached Cubans around the World said that it was a doctor, but Internet users who wrote in the publication corrected that it was a specialist in Rehabilitation and that he had just arrived in the United States.
The young Cuban doctor from Cienfuegos died due to a heart attack, according to a source told Cubanos por el Mundo.
“Friends, we have lost a great human being. I would like someone to write to me saying that it is a lie, they cannot believe that you are not with us, an excellent person, a brother to all. There are many of us who today feel your departure with all our hearts. EPD friend, strength for your family,” Yuneisy Pérez Morera wrote on Facebook on his Facebook account along with a photo of the deceased doctor.
“The news is true and it hurts me a lot to confirm it, I wrote to my daughter, and Amaury died yesterday at 12 noon. My condolences to his wife and daughters. EPD friend,” he added.
Many Cubans who knew this doctor described him as a great human being and excellent professional.
“I couldn’t believe it. A great friend and great companion. Worried about everyone. Without a doubt a great loss. My condolences to his family,” said Yoser Hernández.
“EPD for my dear friend and co-worker, I cannot believe this news, my condolences to his wife and daughters, all of us rehabilitated from Cruzes and Potrerillo are in mourning, wherever we are,” said Yuliet Muñoz.
“EPD, it is difficult, but very difficult to believe, what pain and sadness invade the hearts of everyone who had the fortune of knowing him, and much more receiving his treatment with so much dedication and affection, a great professional and a very special friend, a human being. “Heartbreaking news, the town of Cruces, his town where he works, is in mourning today, and mourns his sad departure. My deepest condolences to his family,” said Edenia Santana.
