Despite knowing the power of God, as a pastor, leader of the Gateway Assembly Church, Dave Krist also felt fear like any human being who is confronted by a serious illness like cancer.
When he was diagnosed with the disease, he said that doctors described him a scenario of progression that was not positive: “[O tumor] it’s growing,” health professionals said, explaining that the cancer cells had also arrived in her bloodstream.
“I’ve seen about ten doctors at this point. Some have told me that if I don’t start chemo I will die. Others have told me that I need to have surgery right away.”
Keeping the faith
Despite the diagnosis, Pastor Dave decided to continue his commitment to the church, maintaining his performance as a preacher at a conference, even with his emotions still shaken, as he was aware that, in human eyes, he needed to start his treatment as soon as possible. possible.
“I could feel the currents of cancer. It wasn’t so much the physical, it was the mental. It was the fear. Fear just wants to crush you. But I chose last year to go to conference in faith and do the only thing I knew how to do. I went to the conference and started praying and praising”, said the religious leader, second a God TV.
It was during this event, precisely at the end of the conference, that the young pastor was surprised by a group of brothers in Christ. “They all came up to me and started praying,” Dave said.
“And it was crazy because not only could I feel the power of God in my life, but no kidding, in that moment God confirmed me and gave me a vision. He spoke to me right there,” testified the pastor.
Providence
Dave Krist said that after the prayer received, he felt something supernatural from God, so he thought he should simply wait for more tests before scheduling surgery against cancer.
“Waiting seems like an eternity, but I just waited,” recalls the pastor. Fortunately, after new results, he received a call from a doctor who confirmed the remission of the cancer.
“I have good news for you. I’ve been looking at all of your different exams, I’ve been tracking and I’ve been watching. I just want you to know that as I keep track of them, it’s getting smaller. It’s getting smaller and smaller. Each scan is getting smaller,” she said.
Since then, the young pastor has already been declaring his cure from cancer, testifying to how much God has been merciful in giving him victories in every exam performed. For Dave, it is when we see ourselves without alternatives, but confident in divine providence, that the Lord works wonders.
“If you feel your hands are tied, that’s fine. Because you are already in the perfect posture for prayer. If you feel like you can’t do anything about it, that’s fine. You are already exactly where you need to be, in a humble place to seek the Lord”, he concludes.
