in an interview withyou Dana Lufen, the widow of Barak who was murdered in the attack at the “Ilka” bar last April, talks about the last few months and the first time she will accompany Yuval, her eldest daughter and the bar to her first grade. – “She asked, ‘Mom, will you just accompany me to first grade?’ I answered that mom is with her all the time and dad’s spirit and back is behind her.”
As I recall, on April 7 of this year, a terrorist opened fire on revelers on Dizingoff Street in Tel Aviv and killed three of them, including Barak. Barak was mortally wounded and fought for his life for many hours. Until this year, he was the one who took the girls Yuval and Amit to kindergarten while Dana received the students at school where she works as an educational consultant.

Dana talks about the memory and values that Barak left – “We were a team and one heart, and this is also what the children felt at home – what is friendship, what is a relationship, how do we talk to each other. In conclusion, Dana talked about Yuval, who is starting her first day in first grade today – “I keep telling Yuval that daddy is proud of her for her path and coping. We will accompany her to first grade – me and her grandparents – and I wish her to be happy and happy and to know that mom is always here with her “.
