Tollywood director Rajeev Chowdhury is going to produce a biopic on legendary Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman. This film is named ‘Shock: The Doubt’. Bengali actress Payal Ghosh will be seen in the role of Zeenat in Rajeev’s film.

In Zeenat’s words, ‘Showing my biopic will be absolutely stupid!’ The veteran actress expressed her anger in a long post on Instagram. Zeenat’s comment, ‘I hope the director will be sensitive in presenting my life story on screen. And I need such a brave writer or actor for my biopic.’
Zeenat also wrote in a social media post, ‘You can dismiss it as an older woman. But in my opinion, it would be foolish to make my biopic keeping me in the background. Because honestly, nobody knows me like I do. So any research on this subject would be incomplete without my input. Even the confusing can stand.’ In Zeenat’s words, ‘I bet that beyond all the information about me that is in the public domain, there is another world of me that is known only to me. But I can say this, my life journey is really interesting. But I am not deterred by the fact that strangers are making biopics about my life. Just to say, the tag that says sex symbol next to my name is impossible to shake even after 50 years! And if the mistake falls into the hands of the storyteller, the consequences will be more severe.’
Actress Payal Ghosh noticed this post of Zeenat. In this regard, in an interview given to Sangam Pratid Digital, Payal said, ‘What Jinatji is saying is not correct at all. Actually, the making of this biopic is still in very early stages. We have already planned to meet Jinatji. Have dinner or lunch plans. I have to meet Jinatji, otherwise how can I understand her body language. I have to know Jinatji. But he already posted it.’
Payal also said, ‘I am working hard to look like Zeenat Aman. My skintone has to change, my hairstyle, my whole body language has to change completely.’
