Kiev will present its “victory plan” at the regular summit of the Contact Group on Defense Assistance to Ukraine, which will be held on October 12 at the US Ramstein Air Base in southwestern Germany, Reuters reported, citing statement of President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by BTA.

“We will present the plan for victory, clear, concrete steps for a just end to the war,” he wrote on the Telegram platform.

Ukraine, which has been fending off an invasion by its much larger neighbor Russia for nearly 1,000 days, has made promises in recent months that it will present a plan to end the war.

The details of the plan have not yet been made public, but Zelensky presented them during his visit to Washington last week to US President Joe Biden, as well as to the two main contenders for the White House, who will take part in the upcoming vote on November 5.

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said the plan contained “a number of productive steps” for Washington to engage with Ukraine.

However, the Wall Street Journal quoted US officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, as saying the plan was a revised request for more weapons and lifting restrictions on the use of long-range missiles, and lacked a comprehensive strategy, Reuters noted.
