Στην κάμερα της εκπομπής «Φως στο τούνελ» μίλησε ο μάρτυρας που είδε τον 39χρονο Βασίλη εκείνο το απόγευμα, αλλά και ένας αρχιμανδρίτης.
«Δεν έχω εντοπίσει παραβατικούς ανθρώπους στην περιοχή, που θα μπορούσαν να τον έχουν βλάψει», ανέφερε ο αρχιμανδρίτης Νικηφόρος. Ο ίδιος απέκλεισε το ενδεχόμενο να έχει πέσει στον Πηνειό. «Είναι ήσυχη η ροή του ποταμού, αν είχε πέσει, από κάπου θα είχε πιαστεί», τόνισε χαρακτηριστικά και, παράλληλα, θεωρεί απίθανο ο αγνοούμενος να βρίσκεται σε κάποιο μοναστήρι. «Δεν φιλοξενούν ποτέ κάποιον στα μοναστήρια που δεν τον γνωρίζουν, δεν μπορείς να περάσεις απαρατήρητος σε τέτοιους χώρους, κάποια στιγμή θα φανεί», είπε καταληκτικά.
Ο περιπατητής που είδε τον αγνοούμενο ψυχολόγο λίγο πριν τα ίχνη του εξαφανιστούν, είπε το εξής στην τηλεοπτική εκπομπή: «Τον είδα γύρω στις 17:15 την ημέρα που εξαφανίστηκε κοντά στο Κηποθέατρο. Ερχόμασταν από διαφορετικές κατευθύνσεις. Εκείνος κατευθυνόταν προς ένα δρομάκι,το οποίο οδηγεί ή σε κεντρικό σημείο,ή προς το Άλσος. Εκεί μέσα είναι λίγο επίφοβα, είναι σαν δάσος και δεν πάνε πολλοί». Τέλος, ο ίδιος περιέγραψε πως ήταν μόνος του, με σκυμμένο κεφάλι και αρκετά σκεπτικός.
