«The FIFA president knows he didn’t sell the audiovisual rights because of the budget, he said. You know that you don’t have the sponsorship you had expected and you know that the leagues and players’ unions don’t want this Club World Cup, cancel it now”, began Javier Tebas in a forum held in Brussels.
«It is not necessary for the players, it is not necessary for the clubs, it is not necessary for FIFA, which does nothing but disorganise. Let’s take back what we said and sit down and negotiate. We have been talking with FIFA for years and I am sure that we will reach agreements”, concluded the director.
Remember that the Club World Cup It will take place next year, in the United States, and will see the participation of 32 teams, divided into eight groups. Benfica and FC Porto are the Portuguese representatives.
