The demonstration also led to riots in which 14 emergency services were injured, according to Berlin police.
Now the 21-year-old was trying to enter the Palestinian protest camp in Dortmund, but the police immediately intervened.
Dortmund police orders a ban on meetings
The protest camp, which was taking place as part of a pro-Palestine meeting on Emil-Figge-Strasse, was in full swing on Tuesday (October 8). But Dortmund police brought the event to an abrupt end. The reason for this was Greta Thurnberg’s planned visit.

After the leader of the Palestinian protest camp informed the Dortmund police of the meeting in the evening that the climate activist had announced his presence, they did not hesitate for long. After a comprehensive review of the situation, the Dortmund police headquarters decided to ban meetings at the protest camp.
Thunberg is classified as a “violent participant”.
The emergency services feared that Thunberg’s appearance could greatly increase the number of participants. They also believed that the time frame of the meeting would also be exceeded. “As a result of the recent events regarding Thunberg she was considered a violent participant,” according to the Dortmund police classification.
