The complainant, who currently works in the Government, declared to the PDI that she had a meeting with Monsalve in a Peruvian restaurant, where she lost consciousness after drinking a few drinks. The details of the complaint against Manuel Monsalve for rape

According to La Tercera, there is an expert opinion of Legal Medical Service (SML) that would report injuries against a Government officialwho is working in the Undersecretariat of the Interior.

The event would have occurred in the past September 22, when the now former government authority would have had a meeting in a Peruvian restaurant with the complainant. In said place, they would have consumed a significant amount of alcohol. After that, the woman stated that she woke up at the Hotel San Francisco, which is located near La Moneda, with signs of an alleged sexual assault.

In this scenario, the woman (32 years old) went to the PDI to file the complaint, where she stated that she performed duties for the aforementioned undersecretary and that she worked directly with Manuel Monsalve.

According to the aforementioned media, it all began on September 1 when the PS activist contacted her for the first time for non-work purposes through the Signal app. That day, both met at the Costanera Center to discuss work issues, and later they went to a nearby park, where the accused allegedly gave them a kiss without his consent.

The next day, Monsalve’s chief of staff, Gabriel de la Fuente, informed the victim about a change in his duties. The above contemplated that the complainant had to accompany the undersecretary to regions and to the meetings he had every day. This, according to the complainant, would translate into an increase in her salary, which she accepted.

After that, they would have met at the Peruvian location to address different labor and political issues. According to the complainant’s version, the next day, the Monday September 23woke up in the hotel where Monsalve usually stays, without remembering what happened on Sunday night.

According to the complaint filed with the PDI, the woman accused that she was no clothes and the bed had blood stains. Given this, she asked the former undersecretary why she had an injury to her wrist, to which he responded that perhaps she had gotten that injury. Continuing along those lines, Monsalve told her that he did not remember much of what had happened and described an episode in a taxi, in which she had tried to leave.

Under this context, the complainant handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office the clothes that she would have worn that day and they show that she had been bleeding. Within the framework of this investigation, the victim went to the SML to undergo expert reports.
