The voting process in the parliamentary elections of Uzbekistan is taking place without violations.

As Day.Az reports, an election observer from the Social Democratic Party “Adolat” of Uzbekistan told Trend about this Kobil Ayubov at polling station No. 19 in the city of Tashkent.

“The voting process is in full swing. The country’s population has been coming since the morning to vote in the parliamentary elections,” he noted.

According to him, the process is transparent and without any problems. The population comes to the country’s polling stations rejoicing and united.

It should be noted that on October 27, elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) and local Kengashes are being held in Uzbekistan.

Polling stations are open from 08.00 to 20.00 (GMT+5), and preliminary results will be announced on October 28.

Five parties are participating in the elections: the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Milliy Tiklanish Democratic Party, the Ecological Party, the People’s Democratic Party and the Adolat Social Democratic Party.

Elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis are held on the basis of a majoritarian-proportional, that is, mixed electoral system. 75 deputies are elected directly by a majoritarian system, that is, by voting for their preferred candidates, and the remaining 75 are elected by a proportional system, when votes are cast for political parties.

Another remarkable aspect of the current elections is that the interaction of participants in the process has been completely digitalized through the E-Saylov information system.

In particular, more than 850 foreign and international observers as part of the missions of the CIS, SCO, and the Organization of Turkic States are taking part in monitoring the election process.
