Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo
This week, Nintendo announced a new alarm clock officially called Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, instead of the much-anticipated Switch successor.
For those eager to experience its innovative features, sleep enthusiasts who purchased it at the Nintendo New York Store can now update to Version 2.0.0.
Below are the full patch notes for the new Alarmo update, which introduces several exciting features, including a new mode option and improvements to system stability:
Performing the system update
Receive a notification if a system update is available. Press the Notification Button when the envelope icon appears on Alarmo to access recent notifications and follow the provided steps to perform the update.
Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo – Vers. 2.0.0 (Released Oct 9, 2024)
- Added “Moderate Mode” as a new option.
- Introduced “Movement Record” as a new feature.
- This will automatically display in Records if you go to bed during “Bedtime.”
- This setting can be toggled On or Off in the “Records” menu on the device.
- “Distance from bed” can now be set to a maximum of 20in/50cm for Queen and King size beds.
- Running “Check Sensor Zone” will now display an estimated “position of movement.”
- General stability improvements aimed at enhancing user experience.
The Nintendo Sound Clock can be purchased in North America for $99.99, with a European release anticipated later this week.
Nintendo has also released a firmware update for the Switch this week, along with an update for Smash Bros. Ultimate.
