Among the potholes and ditches created on the roads under the jurisdiction of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), the renovation work of many roads has already been completed. The rest of the roads will be renovated within the month of October. As a result, the city dwellers will be able to enjoy the benefits of these renovation works in the month of November.

Local Government Adviser AF Hasan Arif came to the notice of the suffering of the people due to the potholes and trenches created on various roads under the jurisdiction of DSCC due to heavy rains in August-September. Later he visited Lalbagh area on September 28. During the visit, the local government adviser directed the city authorities to speedily repair the potholes and trenches created on all the roads including the related roads of Lalbagh.
In that context, the newly appointed administrator of DSCC. Nazrul Islam directed the engineering department of the organization to take necessary initiatives at the earliest. In order to supervise the implementation of these reform works, the newly appointed administrator is present in the office and is supervising the necessary guidance even on holidays except the official working days.
In continuation of this, the road adjacent to the Secretariat, Syed Nazrul Islam Sarani, Mirpur Road, Dhakeshwari Main Road, Education Board Area, Lalbagh Road, Neelkhet Road, Kantaban Road and Babupara Road, the road adjacent to Hatirpul Bazar, Shaheed Captain Munsur Ali Sarani, Shahbag Mor, Palashi From Shaheed Minar, Sciencelab Mor, TSC, Doel Chatwar, Bailey Road, Shantinagar, Dhanmondi 13/A, 5/A, Palashi Area, Rajarbagh Road Shahjahanpur Mor, Fakirapool, Dainik Bangla, Outer Circular Road, Zero Point From Banga Bhavan, Motijheel Shapla Potholes and potholes have been repaired in several areas including Chatthar to Ittefaq Mor, Tantipara Crossing, Jatrabari to Dholaipard Road, Dhalpur to Sayedabad area, Jaykali Mandir, Hatkhola Road. Initiatives have been taken to repair potholes and ditches on other roads.
In this context, the administrator of DSCC said on Sunday. Nazrul Islam said, reducing the suffering of city dwellers is one of our goals. We have already been able to repair many potholes and potholes on many roads due to the well thought out and wise guidance of the local government adviser and the continuous efforts of the engineering department. The repair work of the roads where the repair work is left will be completed within this month and the citizens of the city will enjoy the benefits of these activities from next month.
Stating that some roads will be reconstructed as per the requirement, the DSCC administrator said, currently we are renovating the roads to make them suitable for people’s movement. We will rebuild some roads as per requirement once the rain stops completely.
It should be noted that tenders have already been called for the construction, reconstruction and complete renovation of many roads. When the monsoon is over completely, the construction, reconstruction and full renovation of these roads will begin and the city dwellers will enjoy the full benefits of those works.
