Today, Tuesday, and tomorrow, Wednesday, are on strike Panhellenic Maritime Federation (PNO) and the ships are still tied up in the ports due to the mobilization.
The sailors demand, among other things, the repeal of Law 41/50, an immediate amendment to the article on the four-month routing EG/OG, High Speed Ships, the signing of a collective labor agreement with a 12% increase and the imposition of a mandatory seven-month routing.
PNO announced the strike 48 hours
WE DEMAND: sign a collective bargaining agreement with a 12% increased rate,
WE ADD:
- – Repeal of Law 41/50,
- – Immediate amendment of the section on four month routing EG/OG, High Speed Ships and
- – Imposing a mandatory seven-month routing,
- – In practice and not on paper without making any objection, disapproval by the SAS and the Ministers, in view of the new sailing period, without strict compliance with the Maritime Legislation
In the name of interests, you cannot and do not have the right to circumvent Maritime rights, but also to undermine through this process the safety and protection of human life at sea.
We call on all Sailors, islanders and agencies to uphold the Federation’s decision so that we can all protect our equal rights together.
Safe maritime transport cannot be understood without seafarers having structured rights.
