Both the E6 at Hemnes and the Nordland Line are closed following the train derailment on Thursday, in which the train driver lost their life.
The area where the train set is located is rugged and slippery, which means it may be a challenge to remove the train set.
– Assessments must be made to ensure that the train set does not slide down onto the E6, says the chief of staff at the police in Nordland, Bent Are Eilertsen, to NRK.
