For the first time, the Chess Olympiad Mr. Festival will be held in Chennai with the participation of more than a thousand players from 200 countries.
Visitors from different countries are expected to attend. In this situation, chess competitions were held for students in private schools in Nellai district and the best players were selected to participate as spectators in the competition to be held in Chennai.
Following this, District Collector Vishnu advised the government school students in Nellai district to take a similar chess match as a spectator.
Accordingly, students belonging to government schools in the district will be given Pali V.U.C. The chess match was held today at the stadium. 125 students were invited to attend.
110 students participated in it. Students who excel in chess will be taken as spectators to the Chennai Olympiad.
