We learn from the message of the RA Food Safety Inspection Body.

“On February 8, the RA food safety inspection body received a message from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health, SNOC, that two people were transferred to the “Mikaelian Institute of Surgery” CJSC with a preliminary diagnosis of acute intestinal infection. The latter ate salmon waffles and salmon spaghetti the previous day at “Julis” public food facility owned by “Mint” LLC (Yerevan, Pushkini 39). In the next few days, 10 more people who ate at the said public food outlet turned to the doctor, 9 of them were hospitalized. Salmonella was found in 9 of 12 patients.

On the same day, on February 8, on the basis of the inspection order, the inspectors of the Yerevan State Police Center, as part of the control measures, took samples from the salmon fish, egg sauce and eggs available at the public food outlet and submitted them for laboratory examination.

As a result, it was found out that “Marinated salmon fish” contains ASCHM (intestinal bacteria) and pathogenic a/t salmonella, and “Sauce Hovandez” MAFAnMK (mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria), ASCHM and bacteria of the genus Proteus do not comply with the indicators of the Customs Union to the requirements defined by technical regulations.

According to the results of the research on the microbial culture of the creams taken from the employees of the “Julis” restaurant, three of the employees (cook, waiter, dishwasher) were found to have Salmonella – Salmonella enteriditis, and the DNA of bacteria of the Salmonella group was found in one.

In the microbiological examination of 30 washings taken from environmental surfaces, 5 of them were found to contain bacteria of the group of enteric fungi.

According to the decision of the head of the inspection body, the activity of “Julis” public food outlet was suspended.

According to Article 25 of the RA Law “On Food Safety Control”, “In case of detection of release of dangerous food during the stages of production or processing, the activity of the business entity or individual functions of that activity shall be suspended based on the conclusion of the inspector who discovered the violation and the results of laboratory research.”
