The Israeli military detected the launch of approximately 190 shells from Lebanon during the day.
As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, the army press service reported this.
The shelling took place throughout the day on October 10 in the direction of northern Israel. In the middle of the day two heavy shellings were reported in the Upper and Western Galilee. During the first salvo, the launch of 40 missiles was recorded; in the second case, about 50 shells were used. There were no reports of casualties.
A new round of escalation of tension in the region followed the start of Israel’s military operation “Arrows of the North”, during which its air force has been carrying out massive strikes on Lebanon since September 23. The stated targets of these airstrikes are infrastructure and leaders of the Shiite organization Hezbollah. Following this, the intensity of rocket attacks on the northern regions of Israel from Lebanese territory increased, cases of shelling of the central part of the country, including Tel Aviv, became more frequent, and on October 1, Iran subjected the Jewish state to a massive missile attack.
