The beginning of October means Nobel Prize season.

Six days, six prizes, new faces from around the world, scientists, writers, economists and human rights leaders will be shortlisted for the Indian Nobel Prize. This year’s Nobel Prize season kicks off today with the Medicine Awards. Physics on Tuesday, Chemistry on Wednesday and Literature on Thursday. The 2022 Nobel Peace Prize will be announced on Friday and the Economic Prize on October 10.

Last year, American scientists David Julius and Ardem Patapoutian were awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine. The two researchers received the prize for inventing sensors that detect changes in the body through temperature and touch without touching the body. The 2022 Nobel Prize in Medicine has been announced to Sweden’s Svante Pabo ‘for his discoveries about the genomes of extinct hominins and human evolution’.
