Rabat – The qualification of the national team for the round of 16 of the Women’s World Cup, which is being held in New Zealand (July 20-August 20), is not the result of chance but rather the result of hard work, which spanned years to develop women’s football, said sports journalist Saïd Zadouk.

This footballing performance of the Atlas Lionesses adds to the prowess of the men’s national team, semi-finalist of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, as well as the achievements of the various categories at the continental level, added Mr. Zadouk in a statement to MAP.
These unique achievements confirm the Moroccan people’s enthusiasm for football, he said.
The sports journalist, in this sense, recalled the audience granted by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the members of the national football team, after their brilliant performance during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, accompanied by their mothers, emphasizing that this audience encourages footballers to work to achieve more exploits.
Regarding the Women’s World Cup, Mr. Zadouk estimated that the national team will be able to further improve its performance against the France team in the next match scheduled for August 8.
It should be remembered that the Moroccan selection qualified for the round of 16 of the World Cup, beating Colombia (1-0) on Thursday in Perth (Australia).
