But if we talk about the busiest domestic route in the world, Delhi-Mumbai is at third place. In this, South Korea’s Jeju City-Seoul route is at number one. 226 flights operate on it daily. That means on this route it is almost double as compared to Delhi-Mumbai. Seoul is the capital of South Korea while Jeju City is the capital of Jeju Province and the largest city of Jeju Island. Its population is about seven lakh and it is about 450 km away from Seoul. There is also an international airport in this city. Australia has two cities at second place in this list. 158 flights operate daily between Sydney and Melbourne. The third number is from New Delhi and Mumbai. 115 flights operate daily between these two cities. 114 flights run daily between Bogota and Medellin, two cities of the South American country Colombia. There are 113 flights daily between Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, 113 flights between Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah and Riyadh, 108 flights between Japan’s Fukuoka and Tokyo and 102 flights between Brazil’s Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Interestingly, no routes from America and China are included in the top 10.

Ireland’s Ryanair operates 2,284 flights daily while China Eastern Airlines operates 2,236 and China Southern Airlines operates 2,216 flights daily. In this list, India’s largest airline company Indigo is at number eight. It has 1,958 flights daily in its account.
