23 MAZs were purchased this year for training purposes in the Brest region

The cars were purchased for institutions of secondary specialized education, BELTA correspondent was told at the main education department of the regional executive committee.

The purchase was made at the expense of the regional budget – more than Br2.5 million was allocated for these purposes. The new equipment is intended for 13 colleges that train truck drivers. Including educational institutions with a larger number of students will receive two new MAZs.

The keys to the first two cars were presented to representatives of the Gantsevichi State Agrarian College during the regional holiday “Dazhynki”. In addition, the vehicle fleet of this educational institution was replenished with a new universal loader Amkodor 342C4, also purchased using funds from the regional budget. Also, Vysokovsky and Pinsk Agrarian Colleges have already received two MAZs. By the end of the year, new cars will arrive in other colleges.

In addition, the latest equipment is being supplied to the competency centers operating on the basis of educational institutions at the expense of the republican budget. The corresponding projects for the acquisition of such equipment were supported by the beginning of the new academic year by the Kobrin State Polytechnic College (in the amount of Br840 thousand), the Drogichin Agrarian College (Br970 thousand) and the Brest College of Service Sector (Br200 thousand).

“The region attaches great importance to improving the material and technical base of secondary specialized educational institutions. Technologies are developing rapidly, and we must keep up with the times, preparing specialists for the national economy. Next year we intend to pay more attention to mechanical engineering colleges, to update machines and equipment for welding work,” noted the main education department of the regional executive committee.

Now they are already working on the opening of new, very interesting specialties for the level of secondary specialized education for admission in 2024. Starting this academic year, at the request of the Santa Bremor joint venture, the Brest State College of Instrument Engineering began training line operators in the production of food products. Three educational institutions – Brest Trade and Technology College, Kobrin College of Service Sector and Vysokovsky Agrarian College – conducted the first intake of students for the specialty “fish and seafood processor”. The Baranovichi College of Mechanical Engineering has opened training for specialists in the profession of “setter of machine tools and manipulators with program control.”

On the territory of the Brest region there are 45 institutions of secondary specialized education of various departmental subordination, of which 31 are subordinate to the main education department of the regional executive committee. These educational institutions provide training in 90 working specialties and more than 50 in secondary specialized education.
