A total of 27 Cuban migrants were recently arrested by the Guatemalan National Civil Police in an operation.
According to local authorities, this incident occurred at kilometer 69.6 in the Escuintla area, where authorities intervened on a bus that was transporting 70 people in irregular conditions.
The vehicle in question corresponded to the C-120BVZ bus, of the Pacific transport line, and in it were traveling, in addition to the Cuban migrants, people of other nationalities, which included an Uzbek, a Chilean, a Brazilian, three Russians. , two Chinese, nine Venezuelans and others from Ecuador, Vietnam, India, Haiti and Honduras.

“At kilometer 69.6 in the Escuintla sector, the National Civil Police, following the line of investigation into criminal structures that are dedicated to illegal human trafficking, intercepts a C-120BVZ bus,” reads the publication.
The security agency also revealed that there were a total of 11 minors in the transport.
The intervention also included the driver and his assistant, who were identified as Juan “N”, 28 years old, and Óscar “N”, 42 years old.
After their arrest, those involved were sent to the Guatemalan Migration Institute to carry out the respective administrative procedure.
