Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has announced a 28 per cent hike in prices for sellers and builders working in fair price shops.

The hike will benefit a total of 22,510 employees, including 19,658 vendors and 2,852 builders working in fair price shops controlled by the co-operative sector. This will result in an additional expenditure of Rs. 73 crore per annum. ”
