For the 30th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope, NASA has published 30 new extraordinary images, authentic gems of the sky. These are galactic objects that belong to the Caldwell Catalog, published for the first time in 1995 in the specialized magazine Sky & Telescope by the astronomer Sir Patrick Caldwell-Moore.

Inspired by the Messier Star Catalog, it includes 109 objects (not taken into consideration by Messier) that can be easily observed from Earth even with binoculars or a small telescope, to the delight of all astronomy and night sky enthusiasts. With these last 30, NASA published 87 of the 109 objects in the Caldwell Catalog.
