The army spoke of a “high human toll,” noting that “39 people were killed, 18 in Kokoro, and 21 in Liberia,” expressing regret that “many women and children” are among them the victims of “these barbaric acts. ”

The army said the local authorities expressed “their deep displeasure and solidarity” with the bereaved families.
