40,91,250 intoxicating pills were seized while trying to smuggle them to Riyadh

The General Directorate of Narcotics Control seized 40,91,250 narcotic pills that were trying to be smuggled along with fodder to Jeddah – Riyadh. The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the Narcotics Control Department of Qatar, busted the drug smuggling attempt.

Two people were arrested from Riyadh who received the drug stockpile in Saudi Arabia. An Egyptian and a Jordanian, who are in the country under legal iqamas, were arrested. The General Directorate of Narcotics Control has informed that both of them have been handed over to public prosecution after completing the interrogation process.
