58 drivers receive Christmas in El Torito

For exceeding the alcohol limit allowed to drive, 58 drivers spent Christmas in the Administrative Sanctions Center and of Social Integration, better known as “The Little Bull.”

As part of the “Drive without alcohol” program, implemented during the Christmas holidays, the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) conducted 26,666 AlcoStop interviews and administered 338 breathalyzer tests, the agency reported.

As a result of the tests, 58 people exceeded the permitted limit and 56 vehicles were taken to vehicle storage, the agency detailed.

Between December 5 and 24, the SSC carried out a total of 370,796 AlcoStop tests (vehicle interior environment) and 7,322 breathalyzer tests (exhaled air).

In the operations, 1,470 drivers exceeded the permitted limit and 1,436 vehicles were sent to vehicle storage, the Secretariat detailed.

Like every year, on the occasion of the fiestas decembrinesthe Undersecretary of the Penitentiary System of the SSC offered a special menu for people referred to Torito this December 24.

For Christmas Eve, rice was served as the first course and romeritos with potatoes and shrimp as the main course, accompanied by beans, with flavored water as a drink.

The SSC urged drivers and visitors of the Ciudad of Mexico not to drive after consuming alcoholic beverages and to respect traffic regulations in order to prevent any accident within the framework of the fiestas decembrines.
