The XVIII conference on space and aerospace medicine with international participation opened in Moscow. It is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Medical and Biological Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Over the course of three days, 32 scientific reports and 56 scientific reports on a variety of topics will be presented here. In addition to Russian and Belarusian representatives, the conference organizing committee included representatives of the UAE, France, Greece and Romania.

The General Designer of RSC Energia, Vladimir Solovyov, presented the IMBP RAS with a mock-up of the Advanced Manned Spacecraft with the words: “I assure you, we can make not only mock-ups.” It turns out that Solovyov, at the beginning of his “space” career, was also an IBMP employee. He, according to him, came there in 1973 as a “special contingent of the NVA.” When he asked what this meant, he was told: “He is at the institute, taking tests and not telling anyone about them. And SVA is Vladimir Aleksandrovich Solovyov.”
