Wayanad: State BJP President K.Surendran is contesting from the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in Kerala. Rahul Gandhi from Congress and Ani Raja from Communist Party of India are contesting in this constituency.

Surendran has announced a strange promise in this context. He has also announced that if he wins this election, he will fulfill it. It has Tipu Sultan and Sultan Bathery connectivity.

“Who is Tipu Sultan? What is his connection with Wayanad and the people here? The place known as Ganapati circle has been changed to Sultan Patheri. In that way, I will give importance to changing the name of the place,” said Surendran.

Tipu Sultan, who ruled Mysore, conquered the northern part of Kerala in the 18th century. “This is Kerala. I hope you know that. His promise was unfulfilled. He will not win. The General Secretary of IUML said that he will not change the name either.
